Friends of the Family works with local families and children who are overwhelmed by the challenges of family life. For more than twenty years, our skilled professionals and trained volunteers have been offering a safe and nurturing environment where children and parents can learn to help themselves and build a healthy family life for the future.
Our approach is based on getting involved early in the life of a family that is experiencing difficulties to improve their outlook. This unique support is delivered through three areas of work, a service supporting Mum’s and Young Children, a Befriending Service for children aged between 5 and 13 years old and a Dads Support Group. Our services are led by experienced professionals and underpinned by a counselling service that offers individuals complementary support.
