Objectives

Freja’s Centre for Reproductive Health Awareness's overarching goal is to change the narrative around living with reproductive health conditions. We believe that if society at large had a better understanding of the true impact of living with conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, PMDD and other reproductive health conditions, those affected would feel less marginalised and would be more likely to receive the support needed, from family, employers and medical professionals.

Activities

Through various storytelling activities, such as guided storytelling workshops empowering people to tell their story in their own voice, and a public speaker programme, we aim to raise awareness of the true impact of living with reproductive health conditions. We are newly founded, but our plans are grand. We want to be present at schools, places of work, festivals, and anywhere else where these stories have the potential to change public perception.

Online, our goal is to create the UK’s biggest library of reproductive health stories. We want to create a vast archive of real-life stories in order for people who live with similar conditions to understand that they are in fact not alone, but also to provide a database for qualitative data on the experience of living with reproductive health conditions, for medical professionals and policy-makers to better understand the conditions that affect millions of people across the UK.
