Objectives

The Frank Jackson Foundation is an endowed grant making Foundation. Our mission is to provide unrestricted funding to excellent organisations which seek to:

  • Provide or improve the education of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK or South Africa or,
  • Support environmental causes that include world class environmental research, its communication and dissemination, and practical approaches to solving the environmental crisis.

Activities

We make grants to charities, charitable organisations and educational institutions.

We focus the majority of our grants on core, long term charity partnerships. About 40% of grant recipients are in South Africa, and the rest in the UK, with some focus on Suffolk, where our founder lived and worked.     A secondary objective is to support, with smaller grants, a wide spectrum of charitable causes which reflect the interests or expertise of the trustees.
