Objectives

We are at the heart of the Foxton Locks site, which is unique in its historical importance as well as being a haven for wildlife and a tranquil place for all to enjoy.

Our visitors come from near and far – by car, coach, foot and by water!

Here you will find the longest staircase locks in Britain and the remains of a remarkable Victorian boat lift which add heritage and learning opportunities for all

Like all small independent charities, we face financial challenges and the Trustees make a huge difference in developing our offers including securing the necessary income to allow the organisation to thrive.

We primarily rely on admission fees, donations, and shop sales to keep the museum going.

There are ambitious plans for the future and our Trustees are a vital part of making these plans happen.

Trustees are involved in all aspects of the running of the trust. We are looking for people with varying expertise and experience and brimming with enthusiasm and commitment.

You will be working as part of a team and occasionally rolling up your sleeves to support members and staff

Activities
