Objectives

The Foundation for Mother & Child Health UK (FMCH-UK) works with its two sister organisations FMCH India and FMCH Indonesia, to ensure every child reaches its potential and this is not hindered by a lack of parental knowledge. Our mission is to create a world where every mother is able to receive the information and support she needs to ensure her children reach their potential - irrespective of social, economic or religious background.

Activities

In the UK, FMCH aims to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining parental mental wellbeing during pregnancy and after childbirth. We do this working in collaboration with other health and film professionals, collaborating on the production of a short animation for parents.

In India and Indonesia we offer remote support assisting our colleagues develop programmes aimed at improving child health during the first 1000 days. These include nutrition, mental health and public health promotion programmes, and in some areas it also includes pre school education.
