Objectives

FAST, the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, was founded in 2008 in the USA with an urgent mission: cure Angelman Syndrome. Today, with operations also in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Spain and here in the UK, FAST has become the largest non-governmental funder of Angelman Syndrome research. And we take this responsibility seriously.

Activities

FAST invests all financial donations wisely. For instance, we spend less than 7 percent of expenses on general and administrative costs. As a result, our noteworthy efficiency means there is more money to support critical research. We don’t just write cheques. In fact, FAST has set the research agenda for Angelman Syndrome by bringing together a multidisciplinary team. More than two-dozen scientists from top research universities and pharmaceutical companies have joined forces on a focused path to a cure.
