We care for a Georgian Fortress in Kent. It is open as a public park providing a town centre green park for the whole community. We provide opportunities for volunteers to take part in a wide range of activities such as gardening, grounds maintenance, tour guiding, carpentry, event stewarding, historic research, collections care, office admin.
Our primary objectives are:- To maintain, restore and preserve Fort Amherst. To make the Fort available as a public amenity and education facility. To provide benefit to the socially disadvantaged through training, education and work experience.
