Objectives

Small, warm, caring Pre-school for children aged 2 - 4.5. Excellent Ofsted January 2005.

Footsteps Pre-Nursery seeks to provide a warm and caring atmosphere where children of all cultures and with differing talents can participate fully in an educational curriculum based on learning through play.

We aim to nurture and inspire the children in our care, and will guide them as they grow in independence, imagination and agility.

We strive to fulfil this mission through listening, understanding, communicating and planning. We will respect individuality, whilst fostering a strong sense of community and developing the bonds of friendship.

Through the medium of play we aim to provide a curriculum which will develop language, develop conceptual skills, aid physical development, help children learn about life and feelings and encourage mathematical, scientific and artistic understanding.

Activities

Free play indoors and outside, cooking, craft, Pre -school literacy & numeracy. We also offer a lunch club and a Parent + Toddler group on an adhoc basis.

Annual fundraising events held for the community

As a charity we have a volunteer committee that run the business side of the pre-school such as admissions, employment & recruitment, marketing, finance and fundraising.  The committee is made up of parents and carers of the children, but this is transient - as the children grow and move on, so do the parents.
