FOCUS

Objectives

FOCUS is a young people's charity with a vision of a society in which young people feel inspired and empowered to have a positive impact in their communities.

We support young people aged 13-25 years to develop the skills, confidence and aspirations to lead fulfilling lives and to make a positive contribution through volunteering.

Activities

FOCUS Charity brings together diverse groups of people to run innovative team-based projects that benefit the community and offer personal development opportunities for those taking part.

Since its creation in 1988, FOCUS has worked with almost 17,000 young people (including disabled young people). Over 4500 volunteers from both the UK and overseas have been involved with running our residential, schools-based and volunteering programmes. Today, FOCUS is one of the leading youth organisations in the East Midlands.

We believe passionately in the power of FOCUS projects to bring about lasting change in people’s behaviour, attitude and personal development. This passion is shared by staff, volunteers and participants.
