Objectives

The provision of vocational training to young people in Enfield, Barnet, Watford and surrounding areas, many of whom have multiple learning and social difficulties and open work and study opportunities to them which they have previously missed out on.

Activities

We provide quality training in basic skills (English, Maths and IT both GCSE's and Functional Skills), employability (including work experience) and vocational skills (NVQs in customer service, business administration and childcare) under the Government's Study Programme to young people aged 16-19.  We also offer Traineeships and apprenticeships (including to people over 19) and provide part time alternative education for people aged 14-16 who have not been able to cope at school. We also offer young people with High Needs a place at First Rung on our alternative provision, Study Programme and Traineeship programmes. All our programmes can be accessed at any point during the academic year which is one of our USP's unlike schools and colleges. We are currently training nearly 200 young people in total.
