Our mission is to radically improve the cultural education offer by creating, advising and facilitating partnerships and networks in the places in which we work.
We provide support, advice and guidance to inspire educators and practitioners, helping them to ensure children and young people’s creative and cultural experiences are the most valuable they can be.
Festival Bridge is one of ten Bridge Organisations working nationally with investment from Arts Council England and the Department for Education.
We support and develop the existing cultural education partnerships and networks and lead interventions in areas where we have identified a need.
We have also supported and invested in a range of networks and organisations through our Partnership Investment programmes.
Festival Bridge delivers projects and programmes of work related to our remit, such as our HLF funded Common Ground project.
We support education settings to strengthen their arts and cultural offer with a view to obtaining Artsmark.
We enable more children and young people to develop as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect and take part in the wider arts world through Arts Award.
We strive to be a leading hub of useful information to inspire cultural education practitioners. We want to ensure our region’s teaching professionals and education specialists in arts and cultural settings have access to the latest opportunities, information, case studies and resources.
We also offer events to help arts organisations, practitioners and educators network and learn more about art and culture in their area.
