At FEAST With Us, we are dedicated to eradicating food poverty across London and ensuring adequate nutrition is available for all.
FEAST means "Feeding & Empowering Adults Sustainably Together" and this encompasses our three main aims: preventing malnutrition, encouraging community cohesion and minimising food waste.
We achieve these goals by providing vulnerable individuals, who are suffering from food poverty, with increased access to regular meals. Since 2015, FEAST has been mobilising volunteers to cook nutritious meals for vulnerable adults in various community centres and hostels across London.
These meals are both nutritious and made from surplus "waste" foods that would otherwise be thrown away, the food is sourced from food suppliers and surplus distributors.
During the pandemic, we were certified as an “Essential Service” by three councils and are now operating multiple times a week from different sites.
Since 2015, we have expanded across London and now operate in four boroughs, in 8 sites. We have also partnered with a greater number of food donors and supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s, Lidl and some others food distributors.
We have multiple cooking sessions throughout the week and we count on the help of an army of volunteers that helps us with different tasks, from cooking to delivering meals, to taking care of varied admin tasks. We believe in helping the community by allowing people from the community to utilise their skills to support those in need.
Join us today on our mission to end food poverty, sustainably, together.
