Residential Home
We are a small 16 bed residential home that looks after residents who require help with daily living, we do not have any residents that have a diagnosis of dementia as we are not able to keep the home secure at all times and also feel that as we are a small home there is the possibility that someone with dementia could have a negative impact on the other residents. We offer the residents a good quality of life and they are encouraged to join in on various activities and outings when possible.
Day Care Centre
A Day Care Centre was opened initially in three rooms on the ground floor with the aim of promoting the welfare of the aged, disabled and infirm within the local area of benefit. The Day Care Centre expanded as more funds became available and now occupies most of the ground floor. It is open from Monday to Friday and accommodates 100 elderly and handicapped during the week. More recently, in response to demand, service users with dementia attend every day to make the centre more inclusive. The Day Care Centre is funded largely through a local authority Grant, with independent members paying their own fees and Hampshire Adult Services funding other service users.
Residential Home
The residential home was set up to provide respite care to the members using the day centre and it soon became apparent that there was a need for long term beds, so it became a full time residential home.

We hope to keep our residents here for as long as possible, provided we can meet their changing needs and with the assistance from the community team we are able to provide end of life care.
We have a very dedicated team of carers and other staff who look after the residents, and this has recently been recognised by C.Q.C who have increased our overall rating from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘Good’. This has been possible with the full assistance of the board of trustees whose knowledge and support has helped greatly.
