Objectives

The core Family Refugee Support Project offers refugee and asylum seeking families therapeutic counselling and gardening to enable clients to regain their strength and deal with past trauma and difficulties and to achieve settlement and independence in the UK.

Activities

Clients receive 1-2-1 counselling and during their time with the core project they have a piece of land to cultivate and tend.  We provide this service in our therapy garden and allotment sites which are safe and calm places to enable the healing process.

We also work with individual refugees and people seeking asylum through our Spinning World service commissioned through Ashton, Wigan & Leigh CCG, which offers therapeutic counselling.  We also work with PC24 directly to offer urgent short-term therapy to newly arrived people seeking asylum in Merseyside.
