Objectives

We are a charity that specialise in technology for disabled people. Through training and assistive technology, we help disabled people speak, live independently, control their environment and have fun!

Our services include assessments, workshops and one of our very popular services for disabled children is gaming, we find out how children’s disabilities affect them and match the correct control method so they don’t have to miss out and can join in with the fun with friends.

Activities

We have our own Technology & Gaming Centre in Sale, Manchester where we run free assessments for disabled people – so seeing how their disabilities hold them back and find out how technology can help them overcome these obstacles. We also do workshops and training to educate other organisations about assistive technology and how it can help disabled people. Then our newest service is gaming sessions for disabled children, we are aware that activities in which disabled children can take part in are limited so we have set up an activity that is inclusive, fun and sociable. We hold free gaming sessions in our centre for disabled children, but then if a child is unable to hold a normal controller we use assistive technology to get them playing in another way.
