Objectives

Ensemble Reza offers friendly virtuoso concerts, an outstanding accessible education programme and a groundbreaking community programme for all ages. All our work reduces isolation and loneliness, increases wellbeing and musicality whilst having fun in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Through our innovative and passionate approach, Ensemble Reza exists to unlock the musician in us all, enriching, educating and inspiring audiences and performers, changing lives through music. 

Activities

Ensemble Reza has established a strong reputation for offering virtuoso and welcoming programmes including:  

Concerts including free lunchtime concerts/evening concerts/school and family concerts

Education programme for mainstream (primary to sixth form) and special needs schools

Community Programme: including our flagship Community Orchestra for people of all ages and abilities, bringing friends and different generations together (which pre-covid included over 120 musicians).

In the last year since the Covid Crisis we have developed a successful virtual programme and have: 

  • delivered over 45 concerts which have been streamed live on our YouTube Channel

  • attracted an average of 420 each week to our weekly concert series

  • reached new audiences all over the UK from Devon to Scotland and from overseas including: France Spain, US, Switzerland, Cyprus, Malta, and Greece

  • created an exciting programme of music for our Community Orchestra including backing tracks, tutor films and a virtual zoom programme with over 50 members and since January created a Zoom orchestra with over 70 members. 

  • put together films for schools introducing orchestral instruments

  • created other virtual programmes including an online music club (like a book club) and our first virtual special educational needs (SEN) project and sixth form project for A'level music students. 

  • attracted over 1000 subscribers to our YouTube channel

  • provided work for not only our core sextet, but also guest UK and international soloists and groups.
