Objectives

English Bridge Education & Development (EBED) is responsible for the teaching and learning of the mind sport, Bridge throughout England. We are focused on training Bridge teachers, bringing additional skills to young people and researching the benefits of playing bridge. By ensuring the game of bridge is kept alive, we are passing knowledge on to new generations, giving them a skill which will ensure social interaction throughout their lives and also providing them with a more active brain for longer along with positive outcomes for their mental health.

Activities

We provide education for new and current teachers of bridge

We provide educational materials required to teach bridge

We provide opportunity for all young people to access educational material and teachers to enhance their skills

We fund research into the positive impact on the brain of bridge players and how this can lower the risk of degenerative brain disorders

We fund research into the positive impact on the lives and mental well being of bridge players
