The Sea Cadets has existed for over 160 years and is built on the ethos and standards of the Royal Navy. Cadets can participate and gain qualifications in activities, from sailing to flying and from engineering to catering.

Enfield Sea Cadets is an independent charity (No.303004) and uniformed youth organisation based at T.S. Troubridge in Enfield. Situated in an area of depravation that ranked 6129 out of 32,844 small-areas in England, where 1 is the most deprived meaning our young people can really benefit from our positive engagement with the local community. The organisation provides young people, aged 10-18, with an exciting alternative to other activities in the local community and wider Enfield area.

We aim to empower young people to have integrity in their choices, enabling them to confidently take part in their communities and realise their future opportunities and potential.

Enfield Sea Cadets is a local youth charity affiliated with the Marine Society and Sea Cadets, which is the UK’s leading maritime charity and provides a head start in life for young people through nautical adventure and fun.

Our cadets can take part in a variety of activities from land-based to being on the water, there is something for everyone who takes part. It is not only our cadets who benefit from being part of our organisation, our volunteers do too. We offer continually support and development to achieve what you wish, we can help you become an instructor in subject areas such as seamanship, or navigation to on the water subject such as sailing and powerboating. Should a new instructor have experience or not, there is plenty of room for our volunteers to meet their full potential.
