We are a registered charity with well-established connections in West and North Dorset. Starting life as DRH in 1990, our sole aim was to provide specialist care, support and accommodation for people with a learning disability or serious mental illness, often with additional complex needs. We also wanted to secure and maintain a good quality of life for the people we support in the way they want it.
Encompass provides person centred support to adults with learning disabilities. We support adults with a serious mental illness on their journey to recovery.
This support is provided either within a residential care environment, supported living, respite or via outreach services.
Encompass is commissioned either by local authorities or health trusts to provide support. Some individuals choose us as their support provider using their individual service fund or direct payment.
