Beneficiaries:We work with schools, families, social housing organisations, community organisations i.e. homeless, mental health, disability, young people and local communities i.e. community cafe.
Services:We teach food education and cookery skills classes. Promoting hands on healthy eating workshops that look at seasonal produce, using up leftovers and surplus food and nutritional advice.
Impact:This work can promote better health and well being, confidence and employability skills.
We work closely with schools and community groups to deliver specific workshops and training to meet both their needs and the wider community. This links closely to the local healthy eating strategy which addresses issues around obesity, better mental wellbeing and greater community cohesion.
