Objectives

Ella Africa Foundation (“Ella Africa”) is committed to empowering women in rural areas of Angola through education, healthcare, and sustainable agricultural initiatives. Our mission is rooted in community involvement and driven by the goal of achieving gender equality and fostering women's integration into society and the economy of sub-Saharan Africa.

Activities

We focus on providing vocational training programs tailored to women, equipping them with essential skills for entrepreneurship and market participation. These programs cover diverse fields such as agriculture, cake decorating, sewing, event planning, computing, makeup, and hairdressing. In parallel, we offer basic financial education and literacy classes to enhance educational access, break the cycle of poverty, and empower women to advocate for their children's education.

In addition to education, we advocate for better access to women's health services and feminine hygiene products. Our efforts extend to addressing period poverty in female prisons, offering seminars, workshops, and self-care talks to incarcerated women across Angolan prisons.

Our initiatives target communities facing barriers to education and healthcare, especially in sexual and reproductive health services. We sustain our operations through diverse income sources, including support from UK and International Trusts and Foundations, with a track record of donor retention and individual support
