ELATT is an award winning charity that for over 30 years has worked to tackle the widespread deprivation in East London by providing training, community engagement and whole-person support for groups of people who are at risk of poverty and social isolation.
We focus our provision towards those whose needs are not met by mainstream education or support services, such as young people not in employment, education or training; refugees, asylum seekers and migrants with no access to public funds; lone parents; people with mental health issues; those with learning difficulties, long term illness and mental and physical disability.
Our aim is to inspire people to achieve the skills they need to flourish in life and work. We believe that by restoring a sense of hope and self-belief in those marginalized by society, we can offer a route out of long-term poverty and exclusion.
Last year, 95% of ELATT learners lived in areas of London considered as facing multiple disadvantage. Over 90% achieved a qualification, including 100% of young people with a Special Educational Need, and 25% moved into work.
