Objectives

The Edinburgh Interfaith Association’ (EIFA) is Scotlands longest established Inter-Faith organisation working with faith communities in Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Borders to promote greater respect, mutual understanding and lasting peace in the area and across the Globe. EIFA also supports Edinburgh’s faith communities in addressing areas of mutual concern including social and environmental justice.

Activities

It’s programmes including discussion platforms and training help to create opportunities for deeper dialogue and co-operation between faiths and to enhance the general public's knowledge and understanding of inter-faith and cross-cultural issues. This helps to build strong community relations. Education is a key priority and our multi-faith panels in schools of religious leaders teach the common values of all faiths.
