Objectives

Our Aim

To promote well being services amongst families and individuals, delivering stand alone projects that engage people with their own well being, navigate life’s challenges and transforming lives creatively

Our Mission

To see more people have the opportunity to benefit from our approach. We want to share our practices through the provision of our innovative and longstanding healthy living services.

Our vision sees The Eden Jar, a thriving well-being zone, creating a welcoming space, delivering a range of wholesome and creative services that seek to educate and empower people to make positive lifestyle changes

Our help matters because we are passionate about what we are doing. We regularly outreach in the community to ascertain the needs of individuals and families. This is an important activity because we are able to access funding according to what the community wants as opposed to what the Organisation needs.

Activities

Volunteers are our driving force and we support them in every way we can, because we want them to excel, not just for their role within Eden Jar but for their roles outside the organization. We offer programs to develop and enhance skills with opportunities for learning and personal development.

Friends of Eden - Ongoing. This is a local outreach and befriending service, supporting people living in social isolation and deprivation. We visit people in their homes, perhaps having a cup of tea and a chat. This can sometimes involve accompanying them on trips or local activities and occasional visits to Doctor or Hospital appointments.

Write to Heal A Creative Writing workshop for those who have been through various challenges and want to share experiences. We provide a safe, comfortable environment, helping to deal with life issues more positively, learning bow to express aspects of pain through writing. Testimonies from past workshops included people who were able to change perspectives to enable healing and transformation.

HEAL is a health forum where people can share aspects of their health journey to motivate and empower others. They consist of seminars, health documentaries and healthy eating classes.

Eden Health Fair This bi-yearly health fair educates local people about their health and well-being through exhibits, workshops, demonstrations, screenings, etc. Eden Jar Community regularly partners with community groups and organisations to improve health and well-being in the community.

Creative workshops that help people learn new skills, or sharpen existing ones, forge new friendships and build confidence. We explore a variety of mindfulness and arts and craft techniques.
