Objectives

To save life and alleviate distress primarily in upland and mountainous areas in conjunction with other organisations having similar objectives.

We are usually called out by the police or ambulance service to assist in the rescue of injured or missing people unable to make their own way to safety.

The people we help have often suffered significant injuries rendering them unable to get themselves off the hill, or have become lost due to adverse weather conditions.

Activities

Rescuing those in need either injured or lost in the hills and mountains of the Peak District. Including Climbers, Walkers, Mountain Bikers, Paraglider pilots.

As well as missing and vulnerable people at the request of local police forces
