Objectives

ECCR is a registered charity with a long history of engaging corporate responsibility from a Christian standpoint. Today, we work to empower churches, faith groups, organisations and individuals to bring about positive change through the financial choices they make and by campaigning for a fairer tax system. We want to see more people using their voices, and the finances over which they have stewardship, to hold both policy makers and corporations  accountable, to choose more ethical products, and to promote economic justice and environmental sustainability at every level.

Activities

We work through the Churches, the historic denominations and ecumenical structures, and the newer churches and networks.   We partner with other organisations within and outside the Church which share our aims and values.

Our two main strands are

  1. Education and Awareness-raising within the Churches

  1. Advocacy and Campaigning within and on behalf of the Churches

We currently do this primarily through two programmes:

  1. Money Makes Change (MMC

  1. Church Action for Tax Justice (CATJ)
