Exchange Theatre is a bilingual cultural organisation founded in 2006 by International French-speaking artists David Furlong, Mauritian actor and director, and Fanny Dulin, French actress and producer. Initially we have been researching translations and reviving major plays from French-speaking theatrical background, seldom seen in England: Sartre, Feydeau, Molière... Moreover, we perpetuate an international vision of culture crossing borders and we are now actively engaging a multilingual, multicultural and diverse audience in all respects. The latest productions of Moliere plays for a 21st century, performed alternately in French and English with a bilingual cast, was nominated for 3 Off West End awards: Best Production, Best Director and Best Video design. Exchange Theatre offers a unique cultural hub for an ongoing exchange between Britain and Europe, Anglophone and Francophone, under threats from Brexit.
We produce theatre shows and we offer education services to local communities and schools.
