Objectives

We are well established small charity that  support learning disabled and autistic adults who for whatever reason do not get an adult social care service. In our retail, hospitality and Gull rehabilitation centre activities. This reduces isolation, develops new skills, improves communication and interaction with community. Whilst promoting a positive image of Gulls, and other Seabirds and helping to conserve a red listed bird.

Activities

We offer supported volunteering opportunities to learning disabled and autistic adults at our 3 activity sites, retail, hospitality and animal welfare.

The animal welfare activity has become a victim of its own success, with the support of the users it has become an internationally renown centre for Gull rehabilitation. Which provides an excellent service to the community.

It also helps users from other vulnerable groups, including adolescence and adult mental health and Isolated individuals. All developing confidence, self-esteem, communication  and relationships.

We offer a respite holiday to users who because of financial circumstances have never experienced a holiday. This provides with support, independence, life skills (cooking and cleaning of self catering property) and  access to the community with visits to local attractions. Whilst providing carers with a much need respite. We also have social events at a local hall with disco, games and buffet for up to 60 users
