Running and maintaining two accessible minibuses, we provide door-to-door transport for journeys of all kinds. Our buses have lifts which allow us to accommodate wheelchair-users. Predominantly our passengers are groups of older people. Regular trips are for shopping, lunch outings, short visits, and attendance at meetings. Any group or individual can use the service by becoming a member for a small annual fee, and is charged for mileage when using the minibus. Bookings and general administration are carried out by our part-time co-ordinator, and one of our volunteer drivers acts as honorary transport officer taking the buses for regular maintenance. The charity is managed by its trustees whose main tasks are, assisted by the co-ordinator, to monitor finance, raise funds and recruit volunteers. EVCT receives its basic funding from Welsh Government and is a member of the Community Transport Association.
