East Kent Mencap is a charity which supports individuals with learning disabilities and their families. We provide day services, evening activities, social activities and housing. We operate mainly in East Kent but are expanding our services further into Kent. We work with local District Partnership Groups and other organisations to further our work and support. Services are always required for those with learning disabilities and we aim to support as many as we can.
We provide day services where individuals with learning disabilities come together and enjoy a wide variety of activities, not only at our day centre but out in the community. We have evening clubs and groups which can involve social activities such as bowling, photography, drama and have organised meetings with other groups to educate and guide our service users in day to day matters. We also provide housing in several locations in our own properties from 24/7 support to independent living.
