Objectives

Our vision is a community that celebrates its cultural heritage and finds inspiration, learning and enjoyment through the exploration of our collections.  We achieve this through our 3 strategic aims:

  1. To deliver a successful programme of accessible exhibitions, events, activities and outreach to a diverse and digital audience;
  2. To develop and interpret the rich local history collections including the internationally significant Guinea Pig Club and Queen Victoria Hospital;
  3. To be financially self-sustainable and organisationally resilient.

Activities

East Grinstead Museum collects, safeguards and interprets artefacts, archives and photographs of the market town and surrounding villages for the interest, enjoyment and education of the local community and visitors

East Grinstead Museum is centrally located within the town of East Grinstead a short walk from the High Street.  The Museum is housed in an award-winning and purpose built museum building that is accessible with modern permanent displays, research room and facilities and a disabled toilet for visitors.
