Objectives

DreamArts transforms young lives through arts and therapy. We work across Westminster which has the 4th highest level of child poverty in the UK. Children in poverty are 4 times more likely to develop mental health problems. To help meet this need DreamArts has developed a powerful programme of award-winning projects that empower vulnerable 7-25 year olds to explore who they are, develop healthy relationships and make positive life changes.

Activities

DreamArts delivers three programmes;

1. EXPERIMENT - affordable creative weekend workshops that support 7-19 year olds, living in the borough’s most deprived areas, to develop their personal and social skills by devising their own work.

2. EXPAND - leadership scheme that expand young people’s skills and horizons, training them to lead their peers, run their own projects and become creative entrepreneurs.

3. EXPRESS – a programme of creative and therapeutic arts projects and counselling support for vulnerable young people and families who are facing particular challenges in their lives and, as a result, are struggling to manage their emotions and mental wellbeing.
