Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children, young people and families in Dorset. This is achieved by supporting a network of over 50 youth groups and directly delivering support and services for vulnerable children, young people and families in their homes and communities.
We identify gaps in provision and attract funding and resources which enables us to design and deliver services to meet the needs of our families and communities. Examples include: Strengthening Families Programme which helped 90% of parents to improve their parenting skills and reduce the risk of their child’s involvement in anti-social behaviour and our Family Link Worker Service helped 93% of families to reduce conflict. In 2016/17 our reach was over 5,000 young people and 123 families.
