Dorset Scrapstore is a registered charity which encourages environmental sustainability and reduces barriers to participation in creative arts. We collect industrial surplus materials from over 50 established donor manufacturers across the county, ensure these clean and safe materials stay out of local landfill, and supply over 2000 community members with convenient, low-cost access to recycled arts and crafts materials via our Scrapstore in Poole.

To date, Dorset Scrapstore has diverted an estimated 247 tonnes of ‘waste’ away from landfill and into the hands of local people.  We offer a range of practical adult, family and youth workshops focused on developing skills and knowledge of both the arts and environmental issues. And we provide a range of volunteering opportunities which specifically engage those at risk of social marginalisation.
