Objectives

Doorstep, set up in 1982, provides homeless families living in Camden hostels with access to goods and services to make their lives more comfortable as they await a permanent housing solution, in addition to space and resources for children to play and learn.

Doorstep is a hands-on local charity making a tangible impact in its local community and supporting approximately 250 people every year through funding raised entirely from private donors. In the next phase of its expansion, Doorstep is seeking to secure long-term funding for the charity and to expand the scope of services it offers.

Activities

Doorstep emphasises practical solutions to supporting the families it serves through providing after-school care for children, outings and special activities for children during school holidays, free laundry facilities and educational opportunities for adults seeking to re-enter the job market.
