Objectives

The Dockland Settlements provides a variety of cradle to grave support for local people with a focus on disadvantaged and vulnerable people. We do this through sporting, recreational, educational or social activities. We bring local communities together; provide subsidised pre and after-school clubs to help keep parents in work and provide their children with a fun, safe environment to learn through play; host a variety of smaller community groups, sports clubs and other organisations and identify local needs and address them.

Activities

We support children from poorer backgrounds and their parents through the provision of subsidised playcare, younger adults through a variety of sports clubs and activities, families through a broad range of activities such as parent and baby groups and the elderly through activities such as floristry, art and ballroom dancing. We also provide weekly football sessions for adults with disabilities and elderly people with dementia (at one of our Community Centre's this is in partnership with Millwall FC).
