The goal is to create an environmentally and economically sustainable project, that plays a positive part in its local environment. It is at a small scale in terms of supporting local trash collection, raising awareness, making items that have meaning and supporting the development of a holistic view of forced migration, climate change, and welcoming.
Our objectives are:
Providing a welcoming workspace that it is easily accessible to a lot of people where young people and adults can:
Walk-in with ease
Learn more about the impact of waste on their local environment
Be involved in improving their local environment
Learn how to use the machines that transform single use plastic into goods that can be sold creating income, or into items for humanitarian aid
Work with artists, engineers and others involved in the project to learn new skills
Engage safely in conversations about the migrant camps in a creative, non threatening environment.
Provide workshops to schools, community groups
Providing support for charities that collect waste locally and that make a link between waste, plastic, and linked social issues (esp. forced migration)
The support can be logistical and financial
Access to the workshop if needed
Sharing resources and helping each other out on raising awareness and being close to local population / networking
