Objectives

Disability Advice Service Lambeth is a local, user-led organisation controlled by Disabled people providing a range of peer-led services for Disabled people living in Lambeth and other neighbouring boroughs. We are a membership organisation because, as Disabled people, we are stronger when we work together to achieve our legal rights and entitlements, be in control of our lives, be active in our communities, grow our skills and influence change together.

Activities

We provide a range of peer-led services, including: specialist advice around subjects such as welfare benefits, debt and housing; direct payments support to enable Disabled people to manage their own care and support; professional advocacy; the London Stroke Choir; the Intosport project, which provides an inclusive programme of sport and physical activity; community development for Disabled people and a supported internship for 10 young Disabled people.
