Objectives

We are a friendly local charity based in Martlesham Heath providing advice and support to people with disabilities, their families and carers and changing the lives of people in crisis across East Suffolk.

We offer FREE services including:

  • Benefits advice – If you need a benefit check or assistance with completing welfare benefit forms, we will be able to help you with that face-to-face (by appointment only) or over the phone.

  • Crisis work – If you found yourself in an extremely difficult situation and need immediate support with housing, domestic violence, food vouchers etc., please contact us as soon as possible!

  • Appeals with DWP – If you are not satisfied with the award you received, we can assess your case and assist with appealing decisions from Mandatory Reconsideration to Tribunal representation.

  • Signposting – If we cannot help you ourselves, we will be able to refer you to relevant organisations which are specialising in providing the help you need.

Activities

We are currently offering a full and comprehensive telephone (and email) advice service and also have some staff working face to face with clients in the office – with the support of others working from home.

We can help you complete benefits forms (PIP, UC, ESA, DLA, AA etc) either over the telephone or face-to-face in person. There is currently a longer waiting time for our face-to-face appointments.

If your benefit has been stopped, you have not been awarded at all, or have been awarded less than expected – PLEASE get in touch. We can advise you and even represent you at appeal – we have an excellent record in this area.
