Objectives

Disability Action Yorkshire provides services for disabled people, mainly in the 16 - 64 age bracket and primarily in the Harrogate and District area.  Our aim is not to fit people into our existing services, but to listen to what it is people want in order to live life the way they want to and to find a way or solution to help them achieve that.

Activities

We do provide services, these currently being residential care with training for independent living for younger adults with physical disabilities, training in the skills required for employment linked to a thriving social enterprise and fully accessible holiday accommodation.  We are currently setting up a new department which will provide PA services, a buddying scheme and an information service.
