We are a new user-led, pan-disability, Deaf and Disabled Peoples organisation providing services for disabled people living or working in Haringey. We will initially provide Peer Support for new and existing Direct Payment holders. Being a Direct Payment holder allows you to have choice, control, independence and flexibility in the way your care is delivered. We will operate a PA register, employing local people interested in becoming a PA. The PAs will be matched up to new and existing Direct Payment holders. This will allow local residents an employment opportunity to work with and support disabled people to have better life opportunities. We shall also provide information and advice for disabled people. Sourcing alternative funding will allow us to provide other services which are of benefit to disabled people.
Through Peer Support and the PA register, matching PA's with Direct Payment holders empowers disabled people to achieve their goals and create a fairer society where disabled people are valued for their contribution to the community.
