Objectives

Denmark Road High School (formerly High School for Girls), is a selective girls grammar school for girls aged 11-18, which also welcomes boys into its mixed sixth form.  Situated in the heart of Gloucester, the school is attended by over 900 pupils. Denmark Road High School is a single academy trust which has been consistently ranked as one of the best schools in England. It was recently named as the Southwest State School of the Year 2020 by the Sunday Times school guide Parent Power.  

Activities

Our purpose is to ensure our young people leave us as empowered individuals ready to move forward with confidence, curiosity, integrity and commitment.

Our governing body is made up of 12 Trustees. We meet approximately once a month for 2 hours in the evening. In addition governors are assigned a link governor role, focussing on a specific area such as health and safety, safeguarding, staff development, etc.
