The primary aim of the Trust is to provide a home for life, shelter, warmth, food, and enrichment, to sick, ill-treated and abused animals and animals, we currently have 204 animals in 62 acres of pasture. Sheep, Goats, Pigs, Donkeys, Ponies, Bunnies, Turkeys, Hens and Cows
To promote humane behaviour towards animals by providing care, treatment, protection, and security for animals and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals. The trust also promotes compassionate living and humane behaviour towards animals through a variety of open days, tours and outreach activities.
The Charity employes a small of staff to ensure the welfare and care of its animals is met, not just physically but also psychologically. Many have suffered trauma so rehabilitation and long term care is vital. The Charity has an established bank of volunteers to support the Sanctuary and its animals, it also has volunteers for project days to help with maintanance and welfare.
Our Sanctuary promotes compassionate living through social media, tours, visits, open days, outreach in the community. With a combined social media following of over 27,000 we reach across the globe taking the Sanctuary virtually to our supporters and people who cannot visit.
