The David Williamson Trust is a small grant making trust based in Guildford. We make grants to charities based within the administrative boundary of Guildford Borough Council and the immediate neighbourhood for the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, disability, financial hardship or another disadvantage and to the furtherance of the work with young people of Guildford United Reformed Church.
The trustees meet four times a year. We make grants to other charities working in Guildford. At present we support eight. Each trustee takes responsibility for one or more of the beneficiaries by liaising with them and monitoring the project we support. These beneficiary charities include those providing vocational training to educationally disadvantaged young people and those giving care and counselling to young people and adults with a disability, hardship or another disadvantage.
