Objectives

We are an organisation based in Africa, the Americas and Europe. Our main beneficiaries are the poor, hungry, sick, elderly people, street children, children with special needs, abandoned babies, orphans, homeless, and refugees.

Our healthcare services in Nigeria and Haiti, include hospital dispensary services and mobile clinic, providing free medical care for the less privileged, those unable to pay for their hospital bills and unable to get early diagnosis for their illness due to financial problems. We also offer a food nutrition program and pastoral care services.

We commit to providing sustainable means of livelihood to those in need and at the fringe of society. In Africa, our aim is to make water accessible to people in poor localities where there are little or no social amenities and provide large production of food for the poor by sustainable agriculture. In Italy we have been feeding the refugees and in England we have started a soup kitchen in Streatham for the homeless and the distribution of food items to the less privileged.

Our charity home in Nigeria provides accommodation and care (spiritual and material) to street children, abandoned babies, physically and mentally disabled persons. To the latter we put in place programs that will enable them to reintegrate in the society.  We also intend to build elderly people homes

We are dedicated to educating children so as to significantly impact their futures. Our objective is to build schools in rural areas, specialist schools and centres for children with special needs and rehabilitation centres.

To provides services in every work of life and to fulfil the congregation’s diverse apostolates in healthcare, education, pastoral work, managerial, legal and others, we train our sisters and novices to be able start self help projects both for our congregation and the underprivileged around us.

Activities

Mission appeal in churches has been our main source of fundraising. We intend to further develop funding for our programs in Africa and around the world through requests for on line donations through our web site. As we were unable to continue with our mission appeals in 2020 we have started an annual livestream to raise awareness of our charity, its work and projects and also make requests for donations.

We stay in touch with our supporters through our quarterly newsletters so we can inform and at the same time continue to fundraise.  To support our local soup kitchen we have managed to obtain the support of local supermarkets.

We are looking into new areas of fundraising through events (our first annual dinner dance is due to take place in October 2021), lotteries and raffles, trusts and corporate fundraising as well as social media fundraising.

With regards to our overseas programs, we are looking into working with other charities or requesting funding in areas of similar interests.

As part of our efforts to involve young people with our work we offer work experience on request.

Our continued efforts to increase our donors have resulted in obtaining donated items distributed to the homeless as well as books teaching and IT equipment sent to Africa.
