Croydon Community Energy exists to confront both the climate crisis and the energy price crisis. We engage with local people to help them improve home energy efficiency and to help deliver Croydon Council's objective of increasing renewable generation in Croydon by 10% each year, focusing on community buildings such as church halls.
Croydon Community Energy is part of the UK's growing community energy movement. The directors have experience across the renewable energy sector and are seeking to expand our engagement on fuel poverty and find more locations for the installation of solar energy systems and other carbon-saving equipment on community buildings. We are preparing to make a community share offer to finance this activity. We also engage directly with the local community to advise them on how best to cut their energy bills.
