Objectives

Cre8 is a not-for-profit organisation based in South London, working with children, young people and families. We attract a cross section of the local community including some of the most in need children and families in London.

We help our beneficiaries by offering community priced, accessible and flexible services to meet sporting, health, social and educational needs. Our help matters because there are limited similar services available in the locality.

Cre8 Football is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and post holders to share this commitment.

Activities

We meet our objectives by delivering sports sessions, workshops and projects to support healthy lifestyles, educational progression, employment chances, and improved life and work skills and by training volunteers and or providing volunteer opportunities. We use football/sports and physical activity to engage with children and families in order to support other complex and inter-related needs such as poverty, poor health, disability, anti-social behaviour, crime, and low educational aspirations and achievements.

We work with approximately 200 children and young people weekly as well as supporting and being supported by volunteers from the local community.

Our impact and community engagement are evidenced through some key awards and recognition:-

Winners: Sport and Healthy Living Category of the Mayor of Croydon, Civic Award 2018.

Achieved FA Charter Standard Status in December 2019  Received Kick it Out Equality Chartered Club Status in November 2020

In February 2021, our work was featured in a documentary about footballers from South London. The documentary is an interesting and informative watch in general but if you want to skip forward and get a taste of what we do, our feature starts at 4 minutes and 2 seconds into the video and finishes at 6 minutes and 35 seconds.

Achieved England Football Accreditation in February 2022

Nominated for the Pride of Croydon Award for Sport, (finishing runner up)in March/April 2022
