The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) aims to enhance, promote and protect the countryside for the benefit of all, through promoting the use of the rural environment and arguing strongly for building development which is sympathetic to the needs of local communities.
Access to the natural environment is important to our well-being and the organisation works to maintain a thriving countryside, which all can enjoy, and which will also play a key role in responding to the climate emergency.
CPRE Rutland campaigns to ensure that local development plans community-led and meet the needs for sustainable growth while protecting the natural environment but are not driven purely by market demands.
