Geographical remit:

CPRE Cornwall exists to protect the unique beauty and culture of the Cornish landscape. For one and all.

We campaign for a beautiful and living coast and countryside. We work to protect, promote and enhance our towns, coast and countryside to make them better places to live, work and enjoy. We influence development in Cornwall to ensure that the Cornish coast and countryside is protected for future generations, retaining its historical and cultural distinctiveness and supporting thriving communities.

Our goal is to ensure that Cornwall follows a model of landscape protection and development that is in harmony with local need now and for future generations.

We work in Cornwall to stand up for the countryside: to protect it from the threats it faces, and to shape its future for the better.
We own no land and rely solely on donations and grants. We are politically independent. We make decisions with the head not the heart, as much as we love the countryside, by working to influence the planning system and equip local people to shape where they live. Planning, in particular, is all about looking at the bigger picture and our wide remit means we have to consider the whole of the county – rural and urban – when campaigning and lobbying for progressive policy. We work to change attitudes to help us deliver the best future for Cornwall. For one and all.
