CPRE exists to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of rural England by encouraging the sustainable use of land and other natural resources in town and country. We promote positive solutions for the long-term future of the countryside and ensure change values its natural and built environment. We lobby and campaign, using evidence from rigorous research aiming to communicate clearly with those whose opinions affect our success.

CPRE Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is one of 43 county branches campaigning locally on a broad range of environmental issues.
Current activities include:
Assessing and responding to plans for major transport schemes
Considering the impact of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy farms
Developing our website and our use of social media
Supporting national CPRE' campaigns
Thes branch has some very commited and experienced volunteers and a part time administrator. We are looking for trustees with a range of skills to join our committee so that CPRE can continue tohave a strong voice in the region. (We would welcome interest from people with experience of the voluntary sector or being a trustee who can support the volunteers and staff to campaign effectively).
